Unique Functionality

This innovative app employs BOINC, a distributed computing technology, enabling your device's processor to perform complex calculations without interrupting regular usage. As PowerSleep leverages the idle time of your device, it becomes a part of a larger network of computational power. While your smartphone must be connected to a charger and WiFi for processing tasks, you have the flexibility to alter settings for mobile data use. Each data package, typically 1 MB for download and half for upload, is processed in about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the length of your sleep, thus maximizing efficiency in data computation.

Compatibility and Usage

PowerSleep is compatible with Android devices, particularly those with ARM processors running version 2.3 and above. However, for the best experience, devices with Android version 4.1 and later are recommended. Rest assured, no personal data is collected by either Samsung or the University of Vienna.
